Motion graphics are pieces of digital footage or animation which create the fantasy of motion or rotation and are usually combined with audio for use in multimedia projects. Motion graphics are usually displayed via electronic media technology, but may also be displayed via manual powered technology. The term distinguishes still graphics from those with a transforming appearance over time, without over-specifying the form. While any form of experimental or abstract animation can be called motion graphics, the term typically more explicitly refers to the commercial application of animation and effects to video, film, and TV.

Explainer Video

This is what I am most comfortable with. It has a wide variety of purposes and I would say it is one of the more common uses of motion graphics. Explainer videos take a complex process or situation. Then uses animation to break down the process into manageable chunks that tell the complete picture. It is a way to help people emotionally connect with your brand because you can bring storytelling to the mix.

In this day and age, people are generally lazy. So, I much prefer to see a video about a product than look for various information on the website. A video can package your sales/product into a nice emotional and engaging story that increases your bottom line. Here is an inspiring example of best animation computer program.

Most Common Types of Motion Graphic

1) 2D CHARACTER ANIMATION

2D animation is one of the most popular and broadly used techniques. Its a style in which both characters and the scenes are created in a 2D space using perspective in order to recreate the illusion of depth. This type of animation is a great choice for either B2C or B2B since it is emotion-evoking and appeals directly to the audience making it the ideal content for people to share also.

2) 2D MOTION GRAPHICS ANIMATION

Its primarily characterized by being alluring and straightforward. This style is ideal for companies that either has a complicated product or service to explain or that want to bring trust and fizz to their brand.

3) 2.5D ANIMATION

This affects animation technique in a 3D environment. It has all the benefits of a motion graphics animation and it is quite an attractive way to have a professional and attractive result without the difficulty and time (and money) consuming technique of 3D animation.

4) WHITEBOARD ANIMATION

By Karriem A Muhammad Its one of the most popular and approved styles for B2C and B2B because whiteboard videos are excellent for a dip a bit deeper into a product, service or process explanation. This style consists of design simple black and white explanation on a whiteboard to explain a concept.

5) 3D ANIMATION

This animation technique has endless capabilities. Its mostly used for economic purposes for its high quality. Nevertheless, its construction can be quite expensive. Furthermore, if you have a small budget, this is not a suitable option.
